Management Team

Zeba Durrani - Treasurer

Zeba is an IT professional based in Virginia and currently manages technology projects at Fannie Mae. Zeba received her MBA from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and her Bachelors in Electronics from REC Srinagar, India. Zeba is one of the founding members or CHINAR and has in most recent years has served as its Treasurer.

Mohsin Mohi-ud-Din

Mohsin was a Fulbright Scholar in Morocco and a fellow of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. He has implemented projects for disadvantaged youth in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. He also writes for the Huffington Post and is the drummer for the NY-based band, Zerobridge. He received his bachelor's degree from Fordham University and his master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.

Irfan Shahmiri

After spending around two decades in corporate America as an IT professional, Irfan left his job at Microsoft in 2011 to focus full time on CHINAR. Previously, Irfan worked for Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq, HP, and Fannie Maein various capacities including technical sales, engineering, consulting and management. During the last 2 years, besides program development, Irfan has focused on organizational capacity building, collaborations and partnerships.

Shireen Qadri

Shireen is a co-founder of Pilot Advisors, L.P., a registered investment advisor. She has previously worked as an equity analyst for the value arm of BalisLewittes& Coleman, Inc., an equity analyst at Glickenhaus & Co., and worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Equity Research department focusing on the cable, advertising and broadcasting industries. Shireen received her B.S., B.A., and M.S.F.S from Georgetown University.

Amjad Khan

Amjad is a Director of Enterprise Software Sales at Microsoft, with over 24 years of diversified sales and technical experience. Prior to joining Microsoft, Amjad held several sales and technical roles at Oracle, Cheyenne Software, NetFrame, Vormetric and Callidus Software. Amjad holds a B.S. degree R.E.C. Srinagar and an M.S. in from CUNY. On a personal note, Amjad has a passion for cricket having represented and led the US National team in several international tournaments.

Sehla Ashai - Interim Secretary

Sehla is an attorney with a background in immigration, human trafficking and child protection. She has worked as a labor organizer for taxi drivers, a legal aid attorney for victims of violence, a consultant for relief projects in Haiti, and a program specialist in nonprofit program development. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University, and her Juris Doctor from University of Michigan Law School.
